Zen Baseballbat have unmistakable shades of post ska reggae simmering with new wave riffs, rhythmical plinks and bowel-shaking rumbles. Industrious bass and luminous bursts of percussive melody straddling the divide between manipulated dub, instrumental groove and disgruntled rhyme. This band will take you through a whole gamut of emotions, lifting you up when you least expect it, at other times provoking anger, sadness, determination and the desire to stand up and be counted.
Zen Baseballbat are a well oiled live machine, fresh from touring with New Model Army, The Selecter, Steel Pulse, The Beat, The Ragga Twins, Dub Pistols, The Dualers, Rhoda Dakar as well as playing The London International Reggae Festival, The Irish International Ska Festival, LoopFest, The Specialized Big One and the world famous Rebellion punk festival.

Zen Baseballbat's 4th album is a fantastic, forward thinking blend of new wave sounds fused onto their ska and reggae scaffolding. The likes of the B-52s, The Beat, The Specials, Yello, The Fall and Human League all play their part, while their Mancurian roots & influences remain undeniable throughout.
This album is dedicated to the life and art of Jane Anderson, who sadly passed away on 19 July 2022. She played a major part on Better Ways to Love and Offend and the complimentary Dub version, OTHER WAYS TO DUB AND OFFEND. Released in November 2022.

We’ve been a little quiet on the socials recently, but we’ve been busy in studio. As we begin recording the next album we’ve put together a little EP to get you started. ‘Frown, It’s Already Happened’ is a four track EP available to pre-order as a digital download on Bandcamp.
